Ryan Rogers headshot

Ryan Rogers, CEO and Founder
Ryan Rogers has worked in the energy industry for over 25 years. He became a partner of Lakeview Energy Services, formerly Lakeview Petroleum, in 1992, where he led this fuel and petroleum distribution company (Jobber) to outstanding growth. As President, Ryan built this regional company from $2 million in annual revenue to a national supplier with over $100 million in annual revenue by 2010. As the company grew, he conceived of value-added services, including energy management and carbon emissions tracking services, to provide to Lakeview customers.

In 2008, Ryan incorporated GreenTraks into a separate company with a unique ambition, to help organizations transform their operations to a more sustainable future. As CEO, he established GreenTraks as a company that provides tools that make a difference – tools that help organizations and individuals take the first and continuous steps to become more sustainable and profitable. In 2010, GreenTraks was recognized among The Fabulous 50 by business leaders in Northern California: fifty companies making significant economic contributions to their regional economy. In 2012, GreenTraks was selected as a finalist in the Sierra Nevada Innovation Challenge and competed with companies from throughout California for the Most Innovative New Product in non-metro California. And later in 2012, GreenTraks was selected as the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA) Fresh Faces, one of region's newest CleanTech companies.

Ryan holds a B.S. degree in Economics at UC Davis, and an MBA degree from the Merage School of Business at UC Irvine. He earned his CCIM Designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member, and completed the Aji Network’s 2 year Business Professionals Course as CEO. Ryan has further graduate training at the Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary.
 

Kevin Cochran

Kevin Cochran, Chief Operations Officer 
Kevin Cochran leads business development as a partner and the COO of GreenTraks. Previously, he provided marketing and operations services as the principal of Management Resources to companies such as The Cobalt Group and InterNetwork Media. During the dot-com era, Kevin launched over twenty SaaS (formerly ASP) applications as eCommerce Group Manager for ZLand.com, a 20-person startup team that he helped grow to over 400 employees. Subsequently he founded the first peer-to-peer e-commerce company, Braveway Technologies, and launched prototype Auto Mall lead-generation technology, ultimately taking him to Kelley Blue Book, where as Director of Product Management he headed lead generation and financial products.

Kevin managed several corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives for companies, positioning him well for dynamic growth at GreenTraks. In the past, he was a member of the founding team for the now 100+ restaurant chain Freebirds World Burrito, where he led the Bikeway Campaign that won $1.2 million for Bryan, Texas. As Controller for his family-owned Echo Petroleum Corporation, he managed the financing of a proposed $40 million refinery of reduced-emissions gasoline. And as Marketing and Operations Manager for InterNetwork Media, he was involved in seminal Climate Change outreach to each member of the U.S. Congress. Kevin holds a B.A. degree in Business Economics at UC Santa Barbara, and an MBA degree from the Merage School of Business at UC Irvine. He is a Sustainability Management Professional (SMCP) and has further training at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Harvard University.
 

 

Chris Hadsell, Chief Financial Officer
Chris Hadsell was a General Partner at Cardinal Venture Capital. At Cardinal, he was responsible for fundraising, investment strategy, and financial decisions, as well as working with portfolio companies at the advisory and board level. Chris was involved in the following investments made by Cardinal: Cradle Technologies, Delivery Agent, Echopass, IP Infusion, and Jangl and was a Board Member at each of the companies. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Benchmark Capital funds I, II, and III. In addition to handling all financial aspects of the firm, such as treasury, finance, accounting, budgeting, and tax, Chris was also responsible for its operational aspects, such as MIS, legal, personnel, and web site management. His venture capital experience also includes positions such as an Associate and the Chief Financial Officer at Alpha Partners.

 

Prior to his involvement in venture capital, Chris co-founded Symphony Medical Inc., where he was an Account Executive, the Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Member. He has more than seven years of operations and senior management experience in finance, marketing, business development, and M&A at CooperVision and Cooper Laboratories. Chris holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California from Berkeley and London School of Business.

 

 Jim Sharpe

Jim Sharpe, Senior Technical Contributor
Jim Sharpe serves as the senior technical contributor to GreenTraks. He has over 30 year’s experience working in the public and private sectors in both computer science and accounting. Previously, he was the Assistant Treasurer of Sutter County where he optimized operations and generated significant revenue for the county.

Jim founded Sharpesoft, a software company where he developed innovative software for manufacturing, distribution, and retail companies. As an experienced programmer in Windows, Linux, Android, and IOS operating systems, he has solved problems for many private companies. As the Director of Operations for Mary’s Gone Crackers, he gained exposure to PLC programming and developed techniques for extracting data, and using various logic controllers including Allen Bradley, Koyo, Matshita, Siemans, and raw circuit boards. He also used data logging software and developed in PHP to surface real-time data to browsers, which solved various operations management challenges.

In addition to his work in software development, Jim was the Chief Financial Officer for a Pepsi Cola franchise for 12 years. And early in his career, he logged over 2,000 hours auditing government entities for Ernst & Whinney (Now Ernst & Young). Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Whittier College, and is an avid enthusiast of new software technologies.

 

Leslee Baird

Leslee Baird, Channel Relations and Account Manager
Leslee Baird manages customer accounts and channel relationships with GreenTraks affilate and channel partners. She also conducts primary and secondary research dedicated to building the knowledge base at GreenTraks, as well as represents the company at conferences and trade shows. Based on her work in the energy services industry for the past five years, she has studied the complexities of state and federal climate policies and regulations to help clients navigate in the Green Economy.

Previously, Leslee has worked for over 10 years in commercial and residential real estate encompassing sales and property management. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, and is studying to become a Sustainability Management Certified Professional (SMCP).

 

Diane Horne

Diane Horne, Marketing
Diane Horne has over 15 years’ experience in marketing leadership roles with U.S. and International corporations, serving both B2B and B2C markets. Prior to working with GreenTraks, she was the Director of Marketing for SGS, a global service organization, where she established the marketing, communications and branding strategy for the North American Automotive Division.  In addition to her role at SGS, she held leadership roles within the telecommunications and software industries including ALLDATA, Eyefinity, SureWest Communications and DST Systems. She has successfully implemented marketing and product strategies that increased revenue, profitability and customer retention.

Diane holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management from the University of California at Sacramento and completed an Executive Leadership Program as part of the CSUS and Sacramento Executive Institute. She holds a certificate in Pragmatic Marketing and is a designated Certified Scrum Product Owner.  Diane completed programs in market research and customer satisfaction from the Burke Institute, and has formal training in businesses and competitive intelligence, and mergers and acquisitions.

 

Max Mathews

Max Mathews, Customer Data Professional
Max Mathews is a Customer Data Professional for GreenTraks and the leader of technical support for the organization and its clients. He brings a wide range of analytical skills to the Greentraks team. His technical skills along with lean implementation experience allow Max to optimize Greentraks product offerings and operational processes, while ensuring data accuracy through extensive quality assurance.

Max has more than three years of experience working as a customer support analyst and sales trainee for Fastenal Company, where he assisted management with forecasting, supply chain, product sourcing, implementation strategies, customer service, and operational efficiency. In addition to his hobbies of coaching volleyball and snowboarding, he actively pursues and engages in opportunities to broaden his knowledge in the energy industry and sustainability practices. Max holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from San Diego State University.

 

 

Tad Crother, Sales and Marketing Intern
Tad Crother is a Sales and Marketing Intern that brings an insightful and modern approach to marketing. In addition to his experience in retail sales and his academic exposure to sustainability, Tad is eager to learn about the energy industry and assist with various projects.

Originally from Northern California, Tad is currently a sophomore at Arizona State University, which he tells us, is among the most energy-efficient universities in the nation. Tad is studying business at the W.P. Carey School of Business, and pursuing a focus in Sustainability at ASU’s School of Sustainability.

Tad prides himself on adaptability, innovation, and dedication, and aspires to create a more energy-efficient society. These character traits help Tad in his goal of raising awareness of GreenTraks solutions.
